DELPHI – SPIRIT OF ANCIENT GREECE
The tour begins with a drive from Athens to Delphi, one of the most significant archaeological sites of the ancient world. The Sanctuary of Apollo and the surrounding landscape at the foot of Mount Parnassus create an excellent introduction to the region’s history.
ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE AND MUSEUM OF DELPHI
The visit includes the Temple of Apollo, the Athenian Treasury, the Castalia Spring, the Theater and the Stadium.
The Delphi Museum features masterpieces such as the Charioteer and the Sphinx of Naxos.
OVERNIGHT IN KALAMBAKA OR KASTRAKI
After Delphi, the route continues toward Kalambaka or Kastraki for overnight stay. Both locations provide traditional atmosphere and superb views of the Meteora rocks.
METEORA – BYZZANTINE MONASTERIES ON TOWERING ROCKS
On the second day, the main visit to the Meteora monasteries takes place. Depending on opening days, travellers can visit 3–4 monasteries such as the Great Meteoron, Varlaam, Roussanou or Agios Stefanos. Panoramic viewpoints offer unforgettable views.
OPTIONAL 3-DAY EXTENSION
For a more relaxed pace, additional monastery visits or extended photography stops, the tour can be expanded into a three-day program.
LOCAL GASTRONOMY
Optional lunch stops in traditional tavernas with local dishes and regional wine.
VEHICLE – DRIVER – OPTIONAL LICENSED GUIDE
The tour is operated with a private vehicle and an experienced professional driver familiar with the Delphi–Meteora route. Available transportation includes Taxi, Minivan or Minibus depending on group size.
A licensed tour guide may accompany the trip upon request.
