The archaeological site of Delphi is situated in a magical location on the holy mountain of Parnassus and is surrounded by a green pine forest. The oracle "Pythia" was one of the most important figures of the sanctuary of Delphi. For many centuries, through her "voice", Delphi was the undisputed leader not only of the religious life of Greece but it also affected the education and literature, the arts and commerce as well as the colonization.
The temple of Apollo, the treasury of the Athenians, the Gymnasium, the Stadium, and the Tholos, are findings that show the importance of the site.
In a small distance from Delphi you can visit Arachova, which is near the largest ski center in Greece.
